Matthew Irizarry was headed north on Morgan Hill Road in Williams Township at around 9:10 a.m. on March 9, troopers said in a release. He had briefly crossed over into the opposing lane but lost control of his Subaru Outback while crossing back over into the right lane near Morvale Road, according to the state police report.

Irizarry's Subaru traveled east across the shoulder before hitting an embankment with its front passenger side, they continued. The car continued up the embankment before striking a tree in a front yard, investigators believe.

That collision sent the Subaru airborne, and it flew over the home's driveway, hitting a raised plant bed before skidding across the yard and crashing into the house with its front bumper and roof, troopers said.

Irizarry was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident by the Northampton County Coroner's Office, they added.

Morgan Hill Road traffic had been rerouted to Industrial Drive Thursday morning as authorities worked the scene.
